For its fifth year the Ballydehob Country Music Festival will offer huge names in Irish Country music, a fantastic bar trail of live entertainment, and a Country & Western style christening to add to all the fun.

Dancing will feature heavily again this year with two of Ireland’s biggest country stars crooning the dance floor.

Bernie Heaney loves to perform for live audiences, big or small, and gets great joy playing and singing to those who enjoy her style of music. Reared listening to country music greats such as Hank Williams, Charley Pride and Dolly Parton, Bernie was taught how to play the guitar by her dad and she has been playing ever since. Highly acclaimed and well-known across Ireland, she will play Ballydehob Community Hall on Friday 1st June at 11:00 p.m. Tickets are €15.00 each. Bernie will be supported by Two Mikes & Family Ties taking to the stage at 9:00 p.m.

Michael English rose to be be one of the Ireland’s top Country Music stars since forming his own band, and has been going down a storm ever since. He and his talented Band are renowned for their energetic performances and he is dedicated to giving his followers an unforgettable show each time they see him. Best Country Dance Band at The Irish Country Music Awards and Performer of the Year at The Sunday World Country Music Awards, Michael will be performing in Ballydehob Community Hall on Sunday 3rd June at 11:00 p.m. Tickets are €15.00 each. Michael will be supported by Two Mikes & Family Ties taking to the stage at 9:00 p.m.

There is a free weekend bar trail with Ben Currie, Eddie Carey, Olivia Douglas and Mike Ronan providing great entertainment in venues around the village, and new for 2018 there will be a Country & Western style christening taking place by the old bank on Sunday evening with more great music by Mike Ronan.
