Mike recorded his first album in 2003, his first big hit being “Spread My Wings And Fly”. He has since built up a huge following and is credited with 14 hit albums and 10 best selling DVDs. As one of the biggest Irish country music stars, the charismatic Portuma man spends most of his year touring the country.

mike_denver270Early influence came from his musical mother and he grew up listening to country music from a very young age. He also enjoyed artists such as Foster and Allen, Daniel O’Donnell, Declan Nerney, Mick Flavin, and John Hogan, but it was Garth Brooks that really hooked him.

Gigging from the age of sixteen or seventeen, he has made numerous appearances on Irish television as well as recording with one of the most respected country singers of the last 50 years, George Jones, when he produced a duet with him in Nashville.

Performing on Friday night, 30th May, in the community hall, his show is an excellent mix of Mike Denver hits, country classics and lots more.

Performing with his top notch band this promises to be a truly entertaining evening.
